Good morning, everybody. I'm back bright and early with your Tuesday edition of the Loganville-Grayson Daily, with lots of community information, including updates on:

  • Gwinnett Police need your help to be on the lookout for a wanted man.
  • Loganville will be closing Main Street to begin filming 'Zoltar' at the end of the month.

But first, today's weather:

Here are the top stories in Loganville-Grayson today:

  1. The turnover rate for Gwinnett County teachers (13.25 percent) is well above the state (8.9 percent) and national average (10.9 percent) for 2022. The issue was addressed at Thursday's school board meeting, and it will be a focus this year. Changes to the recruitment process, and a focus on retention are at the forefront of the initiative. Leadership opportunities and diversity will play a huge role in improving retention, which will then have a significant impact on recruiting. A consulting firm will be utilized as Gwinnett implements the changes. (Newsbreak)
  2. Police continue to be on the lookout for Stoney Williams, the man wanted in connection with the murder of Courtney Owens. Williams is charged with Malice Murder, Felony Murder, and Aggravated Assault. The used car salesman, who has multiple aliases, is on the run after hiring a man, who was arrested earlier this month, to kill Owens, his ex-girlfriend. Gwinnett County Police are asking anyone with information on his whereabout to call 770-513-5300 or CrimeStoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
