  1. Calling all meat lovers in the Loganville and Grayson area: the Greater Eastside Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Chili Cookoff on Nov. 12. Join the Chamber at Bay Creek Park in Loganville from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to taste some of the best chili the area has to offer. To purchase tickets, become a sponsor, or apply as a vendor, click here.   2. Did you have a chance to enjoy the Summer Reading in Georgia program at the Walnut Grove Public Library? If so, the Georgia Public Library Service is asking you to complete a brief survey.   5. Excel Church in Conyers, less than a half hour out from the Loganville and Grayson area, was destroyed in a fire Friday. Pastor K. Francis Smith estimates the rebuilding could cost $5 million, and is reaching out for support from the local community. Those who wish to support the church's rebuilding can do so here.
