Grayson Farmer's Market Still Open for Business
Other farmer's markets may be closed for the season, but Grayson's market is on for Wednesdays until Nov. 26

While many other local markets have shut down for the end of the summer season, the Grayson Farmers Market is open for an extended season with several local growers to provide produce through November.
“In the early summer, several of our vendors asked to extend the market to allow for sales through the fall harvest,” Market Manager Sylvia Still said in a press release. “We’re very pleased that the City of Grayson gave us permission early enough to accommodate the planting and harvest that will last through November.” The market is also pleased to represent growers in North Georgia who will also supply apples as well as ornamental pumpkins for the next few weeks.
“In the coming weeks, you’ll also start seeing all the beautiful fall produce find it’s way to market,” said Still. “We understand there will be tomatoes, peppers and eggplant through the end of October with some of the summer produce, but in the coming weeks, you’ll see more collards, sweet potatoes, and turnip greens.”

The market includes local bakers, producers, and dinner options to make the market a lively place for a Wednesday afternoon.
“We have commitments from most of our food vendors to continue throughout the fall season,” said Still. There are also several musical acts scheduled throughout October and November; Grayz ‘n’ Bluz will be performing at the festival on Wednesday, Oct. 8.
