Ann Williams submitted a proposal and was selected to attend the 2015 Georgia Collegiate Honors Council Conference, hosted by Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, Georgia. The Grayson resident’s podium presentation was titled “Preservation Methods for Woolen Tapestries.”
Each year, the Georgia Collegiate Honors Council invites students to submit proposals that represent excellent undergraduate work. This year’s conference was built around an “Honors as Windows to the World” theme, and students were asked to share academic or creative work that addressed “issues that connect us with the world and universe at this critical moment in our ever-shrinking world,” according to conference organizers.
Emory College Dean’s List
Reem Al-Atassi of Grayson, was named to the Dean’s List of Emory College of Arts and Sciences, the undergraduate, liberal arts college of Emory University in Atlanta, for the 2014 fall semester. Students must be in the top 20 percent of Emory College or have approximately a 3.850 grade point average or higher to be named to the Dean’s List.

Dianne Alexis of Grayson received a Juris Master from the School of Law of Emory University.
