Grayson's July 24th Market

It's Wednesday ... in July ... You're probably thinking you SHOULD be at the beach, but you're not ... darnit! And while we can't promise you a tropical experience in Grayson, we can promise you fresh produce, some beautifully baked breads and cookies, water buffalo and goat cheese. And some of the nicest folks you'll ever meet!

Not daunted by the pop-up showers that are prone to manifest on any given afternoon, the vendors at the Grayson Farmers' Market consistently bring the tastiest locally grown crops - from the expected tomatoes, cucumbers and zucchini to the very sought after field peas, fennel, spaghetti squash and those cute little baby yellow squash! There are even some chanterelle mushrooms for those who are looking for a really, really special accent to a meal.

The breads ... wow ... those fresh baked breads and cookies along with some of the jams and jellies you can find each week at the market make a pretty spectacular breakfast or let's think about the ultimate PB &J! Bacon and eggs? We got 'em along with some rich local honey for your biscuits! And let's not forget the peaches! Only a few more weeks of this summer staple!

This week, we'll have some crepes to order and the European Market and Deli is bringing Bosnian Boreks for Grayson to try ... yummmmmmy! And dessert? Let's think Pizelles, Italian Ice, or gourmet popsicles! Yeah. We got 'em. In GRAYSON!

We're very excited to welcome Andy Liechty to Grayson this week! Andy scheduled to play at the July 3rd market, but due to those darned summer showers, we had to rebook him. Come out and enjoy his very special talent as a singer and songwriter! http://www.reverbnation.com/andyliechty

We hope to see you there - market opens at 4 and we'll be there until 8!
