Groundhog Day 2015: Did Georgia's Beau Predict an Early Spring?

Let's just say he didn't agree with his cousin, Punxsutawney Phil.

Beau didn’t see his shadow, and his Groundhog Day prediction is for an early spring.

It was 44 degrees with a heavy overcast when he emerged from his “Weathering Heights” mansion at 7:33 a.m.

For the second straight year, Beau did not agree with his famous cousin in Pennsylvania. Punxsutawney Phil predicted six more weeks of winter.

Folklore has it that if the groundhog sees a shadow when it emerges on Feb. 2, winter will last another month and a half. If no shadow, then an early spring.
