- The Gwinnett County Airport Authority will be holding a public hearing tomorrow, Jul. 26. The meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. at the Gwinnett County Airport Administration Building in Lawrenceville. (Gwinnettdailypost.com)
- Gwinnett County's Sugar Hill Historic Preservation Society received a digitalization service award from the Digital Library of Georgia. The society digitalized the Sugar Hill City Council's records of council minutes, ordinances, resolutions, communications, economic studies, and other information dating back to the city's incorporation in 1939. - The Fraternal Order of Police of Gwinnett – Lodge 66's annual Cops and Kids Back-to-School event was held on Saturday at Shoe Carnival in Lawrenceville. A total of 122 local children were given the opportunity to choose back packs filled with school supplies, socks and shoes, and were given coupons for a free eye exam. The event was available to families with limited financial means with children on Georgia's version of Medicaid. (Gwinnettdailypost.com)
- 25-year-old David Warth of Gwinnett County and his attorneys are speaking out after he spent four years jail for a crime they say he didn't commit. The man spent almost five years in prison after being accused of sending a long email threatening to kill a special education teacher. Warth, who is on the autism spectrum, is speaking out to spread awareness that having autism is not a crime. (11Alive.com WXIA)
- The Gwinnett County Police reminds the community that July is vehicle theft prevention month. The department shared a total of 804,000 vehicle thefts took place in the United States in 2020.
