🌱 Gwinnett County Schools Increase Safety + Tax Hearing Rescheduled

Here are the top five stories today in Loganville-Grayson:
- Gwinnett County Public Schools are making changes for the 2022-2023 school year to ensure the safety of all students. For starters, schools will begin screening visitor IDs against the National Sex Registry. In addition, the schools will be adding more school resource officers and an anonymous tip line, among other measures. (11Alive.com WXIA)
- Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners' third state-mandated public hearing on the proposed tax rate was canceled yesterday. Only two commissioners out of five showed up to the meeting. The hearing will be rescheduled which will cause a delay in tax collection by about two weeks. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
- Police responded to a call of a person shot at a home in Gwinnett County early Thursday morning. Upon arrival, police found two teens dead from gunshot wounds at the residence near Norris Lake in nearby Snellville. While the investigation is ongoing, officials have identified the victims as John Pendrack, 17, of Snellville, and Aiden Reynolds, 19, of Conyers. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- Five new properties have been listed for sale in the Loganville-Grayson area.
