Gwinnett Firefighters Keep Blaze From Spreading to Neighbor's Yard

Gwinnett firefighters put out a Lawrenceville-area house fire Wednesday afternoon before it could spread to a neighboring yard.
Gwinnett Fire Capt. Tommy Rutledge said in the news release that a home in the 200 block of Prince Anthony Drive sustained moderate damage in the 1:20 p.m. blaze, which also scorched grass and leaves in two yards and caused minor damage to a neighbor’s boat and outbuilding.
No injuries were reported. No one was home at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire was not immediately determined and the incident is under active investigation, Rutledge said.
