Here are the top five stories today in Loganville-Grayson:

  1. Gwinnett County leaders are conducting a survey to determine what the transit system should look like going forward. Answers are being taken from now through Aug. 15 so that Gwinnett's Transit Development Plan can gauge what local and commuter needs are when it comes to the county transit system. This initiative aims to make transit more reliable and safe for the community. (Gwinnettdailypost.com)
  2. Applications to become a part of the Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful Class of 2023 are due on Aug. 29. The organization promotes taking care of the environment and living sustainably. They also try to be involved with local schools and give out annual scholarships to students on the Green Youth Advisory Council. Interested applicants can apply using this link.   3. There will be several local in-person and virtual business seminars in the area this month. One seminar will discuss Ghost Kitchens, and another will discuss the concept of innovation.   4. On Sunday night, there was a single-vehicle crash on Luther Adams Road. The car was rolled over, and the driver had to be taken out of the vehicle. The driver's injuries are serious but not life-threatening. No other vehicles or people were involved or injured. (Monroe Local)
  5. On Aug. 19, there will be an outdoor concert as a part of the Groovin' on the Green series. Purple Madness, a prince cover band, will play at the Loganville Town Green at 7:30 p.m. Attendees are welcome to bring a picnic and a few drinks to sit back and enjoy the live music and beautiful weather!
