Homicide Victim Identified: Gwinnett County Police

The Gwinnett County Police Department has identified a homicide which occurred at 2232 Rockbridge Court in unincorporated Norcross.

NORCROSS, GA — The Gwinnett County Police Department has identified a homicide which occurred at 2232 Rockbridge Court in unincorporated Norcross, Rockbridge Court Apartments. On Sunday at 1:26 p.m., officers were dispatched to a person shot inside an apartment at 2232 Rockbridge Court. The victim has been identified as Joseph Lamont Love, 42, of Norcross.

Officers arrived within minutes and located one man who had been shot multiple times. Gwinnett County Fire Department responded as well and the man was determined to be dead at the scene. Members of the Criminal Investigations Division Homicide Unit responded for follow-up investigation.

A second male occupant was in the apartment at the time of the incident and fled the apartment through a window. That male contacted the police a short time later and he is not considered a suspect at this time. The victim is only being identified as a 42-year old male.
