Why is an organization that is supposed to be helping animals NOW sending this kind of money to the Caribbean? I think it because they are being investigated under the RICO statute in Oklahoma for DECEPTIVE FUND RAISING METHODS. HSUS gives only 1% of the money it takes in to local shelters. Therefore it would be more prudent to investigate your local shelter and give your money to them, if they are reputable. Why would you fund someone like Wayne Pacelle's lavish lifestyle.
