🌱 K-9 Unit's Leg Amputated + Back-To-School Drive Donations Wanted

Here are the top five stories in Loganville-Grayson today:

  1. The Gwinnett Youth Commission got some hands-on experience at the Gwinnett County Fire Academy. The commission is meant to educate local students about the various functions of the Gwinnett County government. While visiting the fire academy, students tried on equipment, operated a fire attack line hose, and toured fire trucks. (Gwinnettdailypost.com)
  2. Are you growing increasingly frustrated with online home listings and are seeking an alternative?   3. A Gwinnett County Police Department K-9 officer has had an injured leg amputated. K-9 officer Kai was shot by Levi Bryan during an incident in May. The leg had to be amputated since it didn't heal properly. Kai is expected to recover, thankfully. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  4. Grayson High School's Kylan Fox has been offered scholarships from Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Ohio State. The four-star recruit primarily focuses on tight end and edge rusher. The 6-foot-5, 215-pound rising junior has taken visits to Kentucky, Alabama, Louisville, and NC State. (UGA Wire)
  5. The Gwinnett County Police Department is seeking donations for its back-to-school drive. The supplies will be used to prepare county children for the upcoming school year that starts on Aug. 3.
