Here are the top five stories in Loganville and Grayson today:
- Christopher Pino, a 39-year-old from Loganville, has been arrested and charged with one count of felony murder in connection with his mother's murder. Pino's mother, 61-year-old Tresa Slate, was found unresponsive at her home. Pino could face the death penalty if convicted of felony murder. (CBS 46 News)
- Yesterday morning, Sep. 14, a school bus was rear-ended by a truck in Gwinnett County. No students were on board and neither driver was injured, according to officials. The Gwinnett County Police Department arrested the driver of the truck for following too close and driving without a valid license. (11 Alive)
- Rashon Ventrel Lewis, a 31-year-old from Stockbridge, was wanted for multiple drug and weapons offenses. After a long joint investigation between three police departments, including Gwinnett County Police Department, Lewis was arrested with a large number of narcotics and a firearm. (CBS 46)
- According to U.S. News and World Report, Georgia Gwinnett College was named the most ethnically diverse regional college in the south. This is the ninth year in a row Gwinnett College earned the title. (Subscription: Gwinnett Daily Post)
