  1. Gwinnett County Fire & Emergency Services kept busy Thursday night. The storms swept into the Atlanta metro area and wreaked havoc on the southern portion of Atlanta. Gwinnett County also had multiple weather-related emergencies with crews answering 90 calls in a 3-hour window. The majority of the calls were reporting downed power lines; however, calls did range from activated alarms to structure fires and multiple trees on homes. (Monroe Local)
  2. Walton County Fire & Rescue responded to a structure fire at a home in Walnut Grove during Thursday's storms. It is believed that lightning struck the home causing major damage, and when firefighters arrived, the attic was engulfed in heavy fire. The fire displaced a family of five and the Red Cross is assisting them. Crews from Walton County were also dispatched Thursday to assist Newton County, as they sustained heavy damage in several areas of their county. Walton County Public Works also assisted with tree removal after the storm. (Monroe Local)
  3. The FBI is looking for a former Gwinnett County resident who lived in Lawrenceville and owned a medical lab in the county in 2019. Khalid Ahmed Satary violated his pre-trial release and is now a wanted man. He has been charged with multiple counts of fraud related to health care, and a warrant was issued on Nov. 23, 2022. He is 5-foot-7-inches and weighs about 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes and may be using an alias. If you know his whereabouts, you are encouraged to contact law enforcement or your local FBI office. (Newsbreak)
