Car Breakin And Theft Suspects Sought By Gwinnett Police

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — The Gwinnett County Police Department General Crimes Unit needs the public’s help in identifying two suspects in a recent entering auto theft case. On Nov. 16, at around 2 p.m., the victim walked inside a convenience store at 4296 Old Suwanee Road in Sugar Hill. When he walked back outside, he noticed that the cash he left inside his vehicle had been stolen. The victim had just made a withdrawal from a local bank, according to police.

Surveillance footage shows seen parking his black truck in front of the convenience store. After he goes inside, a black SUV pulls in to the parking space to the left. A male suspect (wearing a blue or purple button up shirt and sunglasses) gets out of the passenger side of the SUV, opens the door to the victim’s truck and then steals the cash.

At the same time of the theft, a female suspect (wearing a black top, black pants, black shoes, and carrying a brown bag) exits the driver’s side of the SUV very briefly. Immediately following the theft, the suspects get back inside the SUV and leave.

Both suspects appear to be Hispanic, according to police. The male has black facial hair, short black hair at the top of his head and shaved sides. The female has black hair pulled into a bun at the back of her head.

The SUV the suspects arrived in may be a newer model black Kia Sportage.
