Area Residents Graduate from Mercer University

MACON, GA -- The following area residents graduated from Mercer University during the University’s spring commencements:

  • Paul Maydanyuk, of Loganville, earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mercer’s Georgia Baptist College of Nursing
  • Vanessa Tull, of Loganville, earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing cum laude from Mercer’s Georgia Baptist College of Nursing
  • Sheena Douglas, of Loganville, earned a Bachelor of Science from Mercer’s Penfield College
  • Gregory Barrett, of Loganville, earned a Master of Science in Preclinical Sciences from Mercer’s School of Medicine
  • Mary Gilpin, of Grayson, earned a Specialist in Education from Mercer’s Tift College of Education

Valdosta State Announces Spring 2015 Graduates

VALDOSTA, GA -- Valdosta State University is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of the nearly 1,200 students who completed the requirements of their respective academic programs during the spring semester. Area residents were received their degrees during the university’s 219th commencement ceremonies are:

  • Bria Brown, Bachelor of Science, Psychology, Loganville
  • Eric Callaway, Bachelor of Arts, English, Loganville
  • Jenny Moss, Master of Education, Instructional Technology, Loganville

Lukas awarded Gold Star for academic achievements

CHARLESTON, SC -- Spencer Ethan Lukas of Loganville, GA was awarded Gold Star by The Citadel for earning a grade point ratio of 3.7 or higher during the spring semester of the 2014-15 academic year. The cadets were recognized during a special ceremony in May.

VSU Announces Dean’s List for Spring 2015

VALDOSTA, GA -- Valdosta State University has announced the names of more than 1,700 Spring 2015 students who earned Dean’s List status. Students who achieve a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on nine or more semester hours with an institutional grade point average of 3.00 or higher are recognized by being placed on the Dean’s List. Developmental studies, transients, and graduate students are not eligible for Dean’s List status. This list includes:
