Local Preschool Helps Feed Gwinnett County Kids
Primrose School at Sugarloaf Parkway students, parents and staff support the Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry "Sack Lunch" program
Lawrenceville, GA, (May 16th, 2015) – Demonstrating their commitment to giving to others, Primrose School at Sugarloaf Parkway students, parents and staff recently helped feed hungry children throughout the Gwinnett County area. On Saturday, May 16th, the preschoolers, parents and teachers packed and donated 486 sack lunches to the Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry.
Giving back to the community was a major focus of the food drive, as well as a key component of the Primrose Schools Balanced Learning® system, which blends teacher-directed and child-initiated activities with special emphasis on character development. This opportunity helps students understand the value of generosity and creates a hands-on approach to math, nutrition and planning skills.
