Loganville Best Buy is Closing
The Loganville Best Buy, located on Atlanta Highway, is expected to close by May 12.

Loganville-Grayson residents soon will have to travel a little bit farther if they want to go to Best Buy.

The Loganville stores is among just two in Georgia that got the news this morning. The other is in Fayetteville, Ga.

According to the press release, affected stores and employees were notified Saturday morning. And, most of the stores are closed today, and will re-open on Sunday, April 15.
The company previously disclosed the locations of eight stores -- in Kansas City; Scotsdale, Ariz.; San Antonio, Texas; and the Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minn.) -- that were closing.

The remaining 42 store closures were announced publicly in the late morning of April 14. The number of employees affected was not released by the company.
Most of the stores are expected to close by May 12 or when supplies run out, whichever is the sooner. Select merchandise will be on sale for a 20 percent discount, according to information emailed to Best Buy customers Saturday.
Best Buy is planning to revamp its retail model by closing a number of its big-box retail locations and opening small-scale mobile locations throughout the United States.
One of those mobile outlets is already up and running at the Northlake Mall in Tucker, Ga.
