Loganville Corn Maze To Honor Police
Corn Dawgs, which honored "American Sniper" Chris Kyle with last year's maze, opens on September 16.

LOGANVILLE, GA — A corn maze set to open in Loganville will have a very clear message carved into its design: "Back the Blue."
The pro-police message comes from Corn Dawgs, located at 955 Leone Ave. in Loganville.
The company unveiled this year's maze design Thursday on its Facebook page.

The trails carved into the massive cornfield will flow together to spell out "Back the Blue" and reveal images of a police officer, a squad car and the state of Georgia.
"A tribute to the men and women in uniform that risk their lives everyday to keep us safe," the company wrote Thursday on Facebook.

The message and images come at a time when police shootings and the resultant protests have been making headlines across the nation.
But Corn Dawgs is no stranger to a little bit of controversy. Last year's maze was an homage to "American Sniper" Chris Kyle, who became the subject of a Hollywood movie, despite some of his claims of military accomplishment being called into question.
Corn Dawgs opens September 16 and its season runs through November 6.
In addition to its corn mazes (there's a smaller one for kids, too), it offers games, rides, food and drink and other attractions.
