CRIME AWARENESS/COMMUNITY INFORMATION ALERT
Activity date: October 17, 2014 – October 20, 2014
Zone 1
Firearms Complaint – Firearm shots were heard in the area of Monroe Jersey Rd.
Firearms Complaint – Firearm shots were heard in the area of Amber Court.
Juvenile Complaint – Juveniles were observed fighting in the area of Highway 138 at Guthrie Cemetery Rd. The subjects were charged with Disorderly Conduct.
Suspicious Vehicle – A black Chevrolet pickup truck was observed shining lights into a residence on Lower Jersey Rd.
Stolen Vehicle – A black utility trailer was taken from a residence on Jersey Covington Rd.
Burglary – A residence was reportedly burglarized on Matthew Court in the Dutch Crossing subdivision.
Theft – A vehicle license plate was reported missing on Jersey Social Circle Rd.
Safety Checkpoint – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Gauntt Spur at Lower Jersey Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
Safety Checkpoint – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Old Hwy 138 at Cannon Farm Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
Zone 2
Agency Assist – Walton County deputies assisted the Department of Natural Resources with an attempt to locate a subject who fled on foot in the Monroe Jersey Rd. and Heritage Park areas.
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Amber Stapp Studdard Rd. An open door was found. The homeowner arrived and the residence was secured.
Extra Patrol – Vehicles were observed speeding in the area of H D Atha Rd.
Theft – Money was taken from a residence on Hickory Nut Way. A suspect has been named.
Arrest – Timothy Wilkerson was arrested on Jersey Social Circle Rd. at H D Atha Rd. in reference to DUI.
Safety Checkpoint – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Jersey Social Circle Rd. at H D Atha Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
Firearms Complaint – Firearm shots were heard in the area of Squirrel Hollow Rd.
Suspicious Vehicle – A suspicious vehicle was reportedly following another subject on Social Circle Fairplay Rd.
Robbery – A subject was robbed by gunpoint while delivering pizza on Old Mill in the Walton Mill Village. The incident was handled by the Monroe Police Department.
Extra Patrol – Vehicles were reportedly speeding in the area on Pannell Rd.
Zone 3
Prowler – A report was made in reference to someone beating on the side of a residence on Harry Arnold Rd. in the Simmeron Mobile Park.
Vehicle Accident – Cardia Wright crashed his vehicle on Pannell Rd. while DUI. Walton County deputies cited him at the hospital.
Arrest – King Gavin was arrested on W Marable St. for an outstanding warrant out of Oconee County.
Recovered Vehicle – A 2003 Honda Accord was taken from a residence in Monroe and was later located in the wood line on Old Monroe Madison Hwy. The vehicle was towed from the area.
Arrest – Dennis Cooper was arrested on Roosevelt St. for an outstanding warrant out of Dekalb County.
Safety Checkpoint – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Old Monroe Madison Hwy. at Pleasant Valley Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
Extra Patrol – Two subjects reportedly approached a residence on Jacks Creek Rd. inquiring about a canine and copper material. The subjects were observed driving a dark blue or black Dodge pickup truck.
Burglary – A residence was reportedly burglarized on Evergreen Drive in the Clearwater Estates subdivision.
Zone 4
Fraud – A report of fraud was reported on Hunters Crossing Lane.
Zone 5
Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on N Cross Lane Rd. in reference to speeding vehicles.
Safety Checkpoint – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Bold Springs Rd. at Highway 11. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Windward Court in the Waterford Glen subdivision in reference to speeding vehicles.
Shoplifting – A white male with gray hair, wearing a black striped shirt and blue jeans reportedly stole items from the Dollar General on Walker Park Drive. The subject was observed leaving the store in a gray Dodge Durango, possibly in route to Mountain Creek Mobile Home Park.
Damage to Property – The windshield on a vehicle was damaged by a rock, caused by subjects mowing on Troy Smith Rd.
Fraud – A subject on River Bluff Rd. received a call from someone claiming that the complainant had won money.
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to a business on Hwy 11 in reference to an alarm.
Arrest – Jennifer Triplett was arrested on Bay Creek Crossing in reference to an outstanding warrant.
Theft – A firearm was reported stolen from a residence on River Landing Drive.
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to a business on Hwy 78 in reference to an alarm.
Theft – Items were reportedly taken from a patient at Park Place Nursing Home on Bold Springs Rd.
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to a residence on High Point Ridge in the Forest Ridge subdivision in reference to an alarm.
Zone 6
Safety Checkpoint – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check Hwy 20. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. Two arrests were made and one vehicle was chased after fleeing from the checkpoint.
Safety Checkpoint – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Miller Bottom Rd. at Flagstone Way. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
Safety Checkpoint – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Tuck Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
Damage to Property – A subject hit a pothole on Highway 20 at Centerhill Rosebud Rd., causing objects to fall off of his trailer and striking another vehicle.
Gunshot Wound – A subject at a residence on Hwy. 20 accidently shot himself in the shoulder with a firearm.
Arrest – Christopher Mootoo was arrested on McCullers Rd. in reference to driving without a license.
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to a business on Karlee Blvd. in reference to an alarm.
Theft – Items were taken from a mailbox at a residence on New Hope Church Rd.
Suspicious Activity/Arrest – Joseph Haack was arrested for an outstanding warrant after reports of him acting suspiciously on Donald Drive.
Zone 7
Suspicious Activity – Subjects were observed riding an ATV in the woods on Giles Rd. The subjects were reportedly making animal noises.
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to Walnut Grove High School in reference to an alarm. All windows and doors appeared secure.
Damage – A vehicle was vandalized while parked at a residence on Gauntt Rd.
Firearms Complaint – Firearm shots were heard in the areas of Carriage Way and Atha Circle.
Entering Auto – Three vehicles were entered while parked at a residence on Kathleen Lane.
Prowler – A prowler report was filed on Centerhill Church Rd.
Arrest – Harold Walker was arrested on Walnut Avenue at Leone Avenue in reference to driving without a license.
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to River Forest Rd. in the Thompson Mill Forest subdivision in reference to an alarm. All windows and doors appeared secure.
Safety Checkpoint – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Emmett Still Rd. at Centerhill Church Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
