Loganville Moving To New City Hall
By the middle of July, residents needing to pay utility bills or pursue other city services will need to go to the new location.
LOGANVILLE, GA — Loganville's new city hall, in the old Loganville Elementary School building, is set to open next month.
City officials announced Wednesday that their new home is set to open for business on July 17.
"We have completed a number of renovation projects on the first wing and there will still be some additional work to be done, but we will be ready and open for business," said City Manager Danny Roberts. "This has been a major undertaking, but it is the first step toward being able to meet all of the needs of our residents under one roof."

The current City Hall, located at 4385 Pecan St., has been home to the city’s government since January 2000. But as the city has grown, so have the number of services and employees needed
to meet demands of Loganville residents, city officials say.

The old Loganville Elementary became vacant when the Walton County School District opened up a new school last summer. City leaders decided it was an opportunity to take over a key piece of property in the downtown area and be able to move a number of city services under one roof.
Financing was approved in September for the purchase of the old school campus, located at 4303 Lawrenceville Hwy. Since then, work has been ongoing to transform the school to meet the needs of a city government.
All City Hall operations are scheduled to be moved into the front wing of the old school, with the addition of
Code Enforcement and the Fire Marshall’s office.
Beginning July 15, residents will need to go to the new City Hall to pay their utility bills and request government services such as Planning and Zoning permits, new water service and facility rentals.
All phone numbers and email addresses will remain the same.
Work is ongoing on the new council chambers and Loganville City Council meetings are not expected to move until August.
Additional plans are in the works for the 10-acre campus. Long-range goals include moving police and court operations into the second wing of the school and possibly adding recreation equipment on the grounds.
