- A Loganville native is headed to the MLB! Seth Clark has signed with the Texas Rangers. Clark is a pitcher from Georgia State University. (Walton County School District - GA via Facebook)
- Two recent Gwinnett County graduates have received scholarships from the Lawrenceville-based Knights of Columbus council 13052. Ashley Coque, a Mill Creek High School graduate, and Alexander Onyiuke, a Peachtree Ridge High School graduate, are recipients of the Vic Egidi Scholarships. The scholarships will help both graduates with tuition fees for college. (Gwinnettdailypost.com)
- Two Gwinnett County urologists have been named "Top Docs" by Atlanta Magazine. Drs. Roosevelt Allen Jr. and Ronald Anglade work at Georgia Urology's Lawrenceville and Snellville office. Additionally, Allen also works out of the Monroe office in Walton County. (Gwinnettdailypost.com)
- The Gwinnett County Police are offering a $10K reward for information about an arsonist setting off Molotov cocktails in the area. Police have reported responded to at least five fires set between Jul. 25 and Jul. 28. "Fire Investigators and police are encouraging residents and business owners to stay alert to their surroundings and to report suspicious activity to the police immediately by calling 911," police said. - The Walton County School district is hiring for a number of positions. While jobs are being offered district-wide, Loganville Middle School is looking to hire for a "Food Service - 6" position, and Loganville High School is hiring for "Food Service -4" and "Teacher-Credit Recovery (49 percent).
