Loganville School News: Grace Snell Middle Holds Veterans Day Program

The program is scheduled Nov. 7.

Grace Snell Middle School in Loganville will present its fourth annual Veterans Day Program on Nov. 7, at 12:30 p.m., according to a GCPS news release.

The day will begin with a luncheon for veterans at noon, followed by 104 seventh grade students presenting a patriotic program to honor men and women who have served, or are now serving, in the armed services.

The students will sing military and patriotic songs, and present information about the American flag and each branch of the military. In addition, the seventh grade chorus will sing the “National Anthem” and “America, the Beautiful,” and the school’s leadership class will present the flag.

Afterwards, the schools will present a medal and certificate for the service of each veteran and serviceman or woman in attendance.

Two World War II veterans are expected to be in attendance, as well as many other veterans.

In memory of GSMS family members who are presently serving, or have served
in the past, there will be a photo slideshow ending with the playing of “Taps.”

Seventh grade students singing “God Bless the USA“ will conclude the program.
