Man Saw a Burglary in Progress, But Who Was It?

Inside Police Reports: A closer look at Gwinnett Police incident reports from the Grayson and Loganville areas.

A Loganville man reported seeing what he thought were burglars at a neighbor’s house, but the owner “seemed neither surprised nor concerned,” when she found out, according to a Gwinnett Police incident report.

The man called police after he saw two people removing items from a neighbor’s house on Village Main Street on Dec. 2. He saw a truck backed into the driveway, with a man in the back and a woman throwing items down to him from a window above the garage.

He said his wife also saw someone throw a bag down to the man in the truck.

“She was told what the neighbor saw and seemed neither surprised nor concerned,” the report stated.

The woman said nobody should be at the house and nobody else had a key that she was aware of, but added she has not changed the locks since moving in.

She said nothing appeared to be missing. She said there were boxes in the attic from a previous owner, but they did not appear to be touched.
