RET MAJ USAF Richard (Dick) Humphrey, age 70 of Loganville passed away on Tuesday June 16, 2015.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday June 19, 2015 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Rev. Kirk DuBois will officiate. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday June 20, 2015 at Sunset Oaks: 1580 Sunset Blvd. Jesup GA 31545.

Mr. Humphrey graduated from Anchor Bay High School, Michigan in 1962 and retired from the US Air Force as a Major in 1987 after serving for 20 years. Richard also retired from Rockwell/Boeing in 2000.
He graduated from San Diego State in 1967 where he obtained a BA (Dual Major) in Industrial Arts & Psychology, then graduated from USC in 1970 with an MBA in production & operations management. He also obtained an Industrial Management degree from the Air Force Institute of Technology, Civilian Institutions Programs – Westinghouse Defense Center, Baltimore, MD.
Richard was an avid hunter & fisherman. He was loved by so many and touched the hearts of all. He fought hard for 10 months against pancreatic cancer.
He is preceded in death by his daughter: Julie Crystal Humphrey; parents: Howard & Clementina Humphrey; grandbabies: Maci, Emily, Wayland, & Madison Hutcheson, & brother-in-law: Ron Barnum. He is survived by: wife: Brenda Humphrey, Loganville; daughter: Jamie Halferty, Jefferson; sons & daughters-in-law: Scott & Laura Humphrey, St. George’s, Bermuda; Tommy & Nancy Hutcheson, Odum; Tim & Stella Hutcheson, Jesup; daughter: Tamara Hutcheson, Screven; brother & sister-in-law: James & Gloria Humphrey, Belford, NJ; Sister: Nancy Barnum, Spring Valley, CA; sisters & brothers-in-law: Betty & Wes Fowler, Grayson; Pat & Kirk DuBois, Broken Arrow, OK; grandchildren: Julie & Cody Smith, Kaylee & Austin Johnston, Michael & Hannah Halferty, Alana, Tommy, Ethan & Bryce Humphrey, Zachary, Brittany, & JT Hutcheson, Madelyn & Braxton Hutcheson, Averi Grace Sloan; great grandchildren: Kenzie Smith, Benjamin Humphrey, Hayden Humphrey; & many nieces & nephews.
