Richard Lee Robertson, age 85 of Loganville, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Corinth Christian Church in Loganville. Minister Don Hardison will officiate. Burial will follow at Corinth Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Robertson graduated from Decatur High School, attended Emory, and then went to Southern College of Optometry where he graduated in 1954 with a Doctorate in Optometry. Mr. Robertson then joined the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and graduated from officer candidate school. He served in the Navy for four and a half years. Mr. Robertson was co-owner of Robertson Optical Laboratories, Inc. since 1957.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mitzi “Mickey” Palmer Robertson, in 2012, and his son, Richie Robertson, in 2008.

Mr. Robertson is survived by his Daughters & Sons-in-law: Candy & Mike Fussell, Mitzi & Dan Gregory, Tracy & Eric Hayno, Kelly and Doug Cathey, all of Loganville; Brother: Calvin W. Robertson, Jr. of Loganville; Grandchildren: Katie, Andrew, Rick, Christy, Bobby, Kyle, Erica, Clay, Clint, Daniel; Great Grandchildren: Brooks, Preston, Gasten, Lexi, and Ellie Claire; Brothers-in-law & Sisters-in-law: Jimmy & Janet Palmer of Butte, MT; Joe Ann & Pete Baucom of Fairmont, NC; Frankie P. Alexander of Charlotte, NC; Several Nieces and Nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Corinth Christian Church, 1635 Hwy 81, Loganville, GA 30052. The family will receive friends from 4 -8 PM on Friday, July 17, 2015 at the Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 670 Tom Brewer Road, Loganville, GA 30052. 770-466-1544.
