Robbie Sterchi Bennett, age 76, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, August 13, 2015 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home.

Ms. Bennett is survived by son: Donald Dean Bennett, Jr, China; daughter & son-in-law: Elizabeth & John Lawless, Grayson; sister: Bette Malone, Chattanooga, TN; brother & sister-in-law: William & Marilyn Sterchi, Harrison, TN; granddaughters: Hannah Reid Lawless & Claire Elizabeth Lawless both of Grayson; nieces: Emily Lewis, Chattanooga, TN; and Sarah Boland, SC .

Robbie was the daughter of the late Robin and Juanita Sterchi of Chattanooga, TN. She attended Tyner high school where she was involved in many social and academic activities and where she was valedictorian of her graduating class. Robbie was an accomplished musician and went on to graduate from Shorter College in Rome, GA. with a degree in music. She later also earned a degree in mathematics from Mercer University. Robbie was in the forefront of computer technology, working as a systems analyst for Unisys Corporation. She was an avid reader and was always knowledgeable about current events. Additionally, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters, and socializing with friends.
