Monroe To Become East Great Falls One More Time
A movie crew will be back in Walton County Monday to complete shooting of street scenes for 'American Reunion,' the fourth movie in the American Pie series.

Monroe will again become East Great Falls Monday for some final street shots for "American Reunion," the fourth in the American Pie movie series that is being filmed in the city. There were several sighting of the stars of "American Reunion" earlier in the month, with locals getting a front row seat to Hollywood in action. However, this time it won't be the big production it was July 7 and 8, according to the production company's publicity office.
“It will just be driving around town and no details of where they will be are being made public,” said Wendy Laski, a representative from the “American Reunion” publicity office. “It is very different than the last time we shot there – no extras, just driving shots.”
The "Welcome to East Great Falls" sign, however, is back up at the entrance to the city and Broad Street is expected to be closed from Highland Avenue and Washington Street for most of the day. Parts of Spring Street also will be closed and the detour signs are already in place, ready to be set up first thing in the morning.

Some filming was done Friday afternoon and Monday will be the last time Monroe doubles as East Great Falls for filming of the movie. Laski said there also won’t be any extras needed for the remainder of the shooting schedule.
However, anyone interested in finding out how to look for opportunities to be a movie extra in the future can find out details in a story set to run in Patch in the next day or two.
