Snellville police arrested Teila Veronica Williams and charged her with first-degree cruelty to children; more charges possible.

Snellville Police have charged a mother after the death of her 10-week-old son and severe injuries to his twin sister during the weekend.

Teila Veronica Williams was arrested Wednesday and charged with first-degree cruelty to children, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. She is accused of causing multiple broken bones in the daughter, who was air-lifted to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Police said more charges are possible, pending the determination of how the boy died.

The AJC reported Snellville Police responded to a report of a deceased infant early Sunday morning on Classic Drive. No other information on the boy was reported. The girl was diagnosed with broken ribs, arms and legs, and a detached retina.
