New Offerings at the Grayson Farmers Market - July 10

EDITED 07/09/2013 TO ADD EVEN MORE PRODUCE!

Sure, we've had more than a few weeks of thunderstorms and rain ... but we're hoping for some sunshine and happy skies for this week's Wednesday market.

There will be some beautiful tomatoes this week, along with the normal Summer-time fare of cucumbers, squash, potatoes and the last of the Silver King Corn. The growing season is short for this particular sweet corn, but Tim Franklin will be sharing it with Grayson ... come early before it's all gone! Finch Creek Farms will be bringing beans: Blue Lake Bush, Yellow Wax and Royal Burgundy Beans as well as Baby Squash, Kale, Baby Romaine, Basil and Arugula - He's also bringing French Breakfast Radishes and Spaghetti Squash.

And thanks to Pearson Farm, we'll have peaches ... White Lady white peaches and Harvester yellow flesh peaches.

There will be fried pies, spiced pecans, and you can find some savory chipotle seasoning that will work perfectly with the fresh meats from B&G Farm or Carrell Farms.

We'll have Mac the Cheese or Atlanta Burger food trucks, and Grayson's own YumYum Bakery will bring their truck for the extra-special dessert-lovers!

And let's not forget our 4-legged friends! Four Paws will have dehydrated water buffalo liver and dehydrated sweet potato treats ... both are GREAT for those sweet pooches with a touch of food allergies!

It's peak of the season, folks! Come out and enjoy the summer harvest!

The Grayson Farmers' Market, hosted by the Grayson Arts & History Center,  is each Wednesday from 4-8 pm in Grayson Park (475 Grayson Parkway, Grayson, GA 30017).
