Obituary for Trevor Aaron Jones of Buford
A memorial service will be held Saturday for former Loganville Middle School student Trevor Aaron Jones who died following a boating accident on Lake Lanier Saturday.

May 19, 1997 - August 27, 2011
Trevor Aaron Jones, age 14, of Buford, died Saturday, August 27, 2011. A freshman at Buford High School, Trevor was described as a “cool kid” who loved skateboarding and sharing his strong faith with others. He impacted a tremendous number of lives and will be sorely missed. Surviving are his mother, Amity E. Hicks of Buford & her fiancée, Michael Scott Phillips; father & stepmother, Bret & Ami Jones of Shady Dale; brothers, Jeremy Bret Jones & his wife, Ciara of Loganville, Derek Jeffrey Jones of Greensboro, J. Noah Stapp of Buford; sister, Emily Breann Hicks of Loganville; stepbrother, Jeremy C. Tullis of Conyers; maternal grandparents, Ronald & Nealie Dodd of Monroe, Deborah Massey of Loganville; paternal grandparents, Bill & Betty Jones of Lithonia; special great aunt & uncle, Melita & Jack Struve of Dawsonville; nieces, nephew & an abundance of loving family & friends. His remains have been cremated and a memorial service will be held 2:30 pm, Saturday, September 3 at the First Baptist Church of Buford with Pastor Matt Stacy and Youth Pastor Stephen Fountain officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Department of Natural Resources-Wildlife Resources Division, 2070 U.S. Hwy. 278 SE, Social Circle, GA 30025. Along with your contribution, please include a letter that states the contribution is to be used for Search & Rescue purposes in the name of Trevor A. Jones. The family will receive friends Saturday at the church from 1-2:15 and 6-9 Wednesday, evening, Aug. 31, at Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia, 770-482-4411, henryfuneral.com.
