OMG Police: Citation Instead of Jail for Man Peeing on Side of Loganville Road

Inside Police Reports: A closer look at Gwinnett Police incident reports in the Loganville, Grayson area.

A man relieving himself along a Loganville roadway earned a disorderly conduct citation, but the officer said it could have been worse.

“I explained to [the man] that I could take him to jail, but instead decided to give him a citation,” the Gwinnett Police officer wrote in the incident reporte, dated Sept. 28.

The man said he was sorry and that he had never gotten into trouble before.

The officer wrote he was on patrol near the intersection of Pate Road and Fall Creek Landing around 10 a.m. on Sept. 28, when he saw the man standing next to his Mercedes SUV parked on the side of the road. He was facing the woodline and standing in a way “which to me appeared as the male was urinating,” the officer wrote.

The man admitted to the offense and said he could not wait to get to a bathroom.
