- Next week, Operation Southern Slowdown will be in full effect in the Loganville-Grayson area. This initiative seeks to eliminate or at least reduce the amount of reckless and fast drivers on state highways. Since the pandemic, there has been an increase in aggressive drivers on the road, so throughout the week, police are reminding people to be extra mindful of their speed and driving habits when traveling on the highway. - Interested in learning more about what Gwinnett officials do for the community? The Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center will be holding tours on Friday, Jul. 29. The tour will go through the different administrative and court areas of the building as well as allow people to interact with county officials. - The Trains, Trucks & Tractors exhibit will be at The Southeastern Railway Museum from Aug. 5 to Aug. 7. A wide variety of antique vehicles will be displayed, and there will be handcar rides for purchase as well. Mark your calendars and make sure you don't miss this unique exhibit! (Gwinnett Citizen)
- The City of Lawrenceville is collaborating with the Georgia Department of Transportation and Northside Hospital Gwinnett and building a slip ramp that will lead right to the hospital. A slip ramp will be added, which will add direct access to the Northside Hospital Gwinnett complex. The mission of the project, which will begin this month, is to alleviate traffic congestion and provide a direct route to the hospital. (Gwinnett Citizen)
