Over 30 Dogs, Room Covered With Feces, Leads To Gwinnett Arrest

A Lawrenceville man was arrested after authorities said they found his home filled with more than 30 dogs — two of them dead.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A Lawrenceville man was arrested after Gwinnett police entered his home and found more than 30 dogs, a room covered with feces and a young child inside, according to authorities.

Carlos Sepulveda was arrested Friday after Gwinnett County animal control responded to a call about several dogs that had escaped from the house on Fountain Glen Drive. When the animal-control officer found the room and the child, he called police.

Members of the Gwinnett County Police Department’s Special Victims Unit responded and discovered that one of the rooms of the home had walls and floors that were covered in feces. They also found multiple dead animals inside the home, according to Gwinnett County Police spokesperson Cpl. Collin Flynn.

After a search warrant was obtained, animal control removed 30 live dogs, two dogs and a cat from the home.

Sepulveda was charged with multiple counts of aggravated cruelty to animals, cruelty to animals and maintaining a disorderly house. The special victims unit its investigation, and Flynn said more arrests may follow.
