Pharmacy Armed Robber Identified, Arrested: Police

Gwinnett Police have arrested a man who they say has robbed several pharmacies in Lilburn, Snellville and Loganville​.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — The Gwinnett County Police Department has arrested a man who they say has robbed several pharmacies in Gwinnett County and the cities of Lilburn, Snellville and Loganville.

Following the publication of the original media release Feb. 2, the lead detective started to receive several tips in reference to the identity of the suspect who was robbing local pharmacies. During the follow-up investigation, Aaron Neighbors, 24, of Lawrenceville, was identified as a suspect. Information was gathered linking Aaron to the robberies at one Rite Aid and two CVS pharmacies in January, according to police.

Neighbors was placed under arrest Feb. 12 at a hotel in the city of Norcross. He was transported to the Gwinnett County Jail and charged with the following crimes: armed robbery, three counts; aggravated assault, four counts; possession of a schedule I controlled substance, one count; and possession of a schedule III controlled substance, 1 one count.

"We are very fortunate that this suspect was identified quickly and taken into custody before his violence escalated," said Cpl. Michele Pihera, Gwinnett County Police Department.

Additional charges are likely in reference to the Burglary at the Best 4 Less Jan. 12, according to police. Police also point out that Neighbors is facing charges from other agencies as well.
