Pilot Who Died In Crash, Passengers, From Gwinnett County

The pilot who died and two others, all from Gwinnett County, have been identified after a small plane crashed Saturday.

FORSYTH COUNTY, GA — The pilot who died and two others, all from Gwinnett County, have been identified after a small plane crashed Saturday at Browns Bridge Road near Waldrip Circle, according to the Forsyth Sheriff's Office. Two men were taken to a local hospital in stable condition and one was confirmed deceased.

The dead pilot was identified as Ernesto Antonio Arteaga-Membreno, 28, from Grayson, GA,

Litsu Chen, 30, from Lawrenceville, went to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and Shen Yang Wu, 25, from Duluth, has already been released from the hospital.

When deputies arrived, they found a small single engine aircraft down an embankment to the north
side of Browns Bridge Road. A wing was located to the south side of Browns Bridge Road.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.

A sedan was traveling west on Browns Bridge Road and was struck in the trunk area by the aircraft. The occupants of the sedan, a man and a woman, were not injured.
