Police Incident Report: Grandson, 25, Doesn't Remember How Grandfather's Car Got Damaged

He admitted he had too much to drink, but couldn't recall what happened after he and buddies left a Loganville-area bar.

A man told police he didn’t remember anything after he and some buddies left a Loganville-area bar apparently very intoxicated.

He didn’t know how he got home. He didn’t know who drove. And he didn’t know how the passenger side of his grandfather’s minivan was damaged, according to a Gwinnett Police incident report dated Oct. 5.

Police met with the grandfather, who said he let his grandson, 25, use the vehicle the night before and it was returned extensively damaged. There were scrape marks up and down the side and the rear view mirror was missing. “It appears the vehicle either side-swiped another vehicle or a building,” the incident report stated.
