Police: Shooting in Cul-De-Sac Sends 1 to Hospital
The incident happened on Joyce Court near Snellville, around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday.

A disagreement in the cul-de-sac of a Snellville-area neighborhood led to a shooting that sent one person to the hospital Tuesday night.
Gwinnett Police said a male was wounded in the leg around 9:45 p.m. at Joyce Court, located in unincorporated Gwinnett, just west of the city of Snellville and south of U.S. Hwy 78.

“According to the victim, he had a disagreement with 3-5 young black males. The males were in their late teens or early twenties. One of those males pulled a weapon and fired once striking the victim in his leg,” police spokesperson Michele Pihera said in a news release.
Pihera said an officer applied a tourniquet to the victim’s leg to control the bleeding while waiting for the ambulance.

The victim was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center; his injury was considered non-life-threatening after he arrived.
Pihera said no one has been arrested for the shooting, but investigators are following up on leads. The males were last seen running behind the homes at the back of the cul-de-sac.
