Police Seek Suspect in More Than a Dozen Car Break-Ins

Gwinnett Police believe he may be responsible for entering auto crimes in the Kentshire and Planters Walk neighborhoods.

Gwinnett Police are looking for a suspect in more than a dozen car break-ins reported in January.

The suspect, who is seen in surveillance camera images released by police, is wanted in connection with a series of break-ins Jan. 6-31 in the Kentshire and Planters Walk neighborhoods. The two subdivisions back up to each other in the Lawrenceville area.

“To date, there have been a total of 15 different reports documenting these crimes,” Gwinnett Police Cpl. Michele Pihera said in a news release. “In these reports, it documents that the suspect either entered the vehicle through an unlocked door or smashed one of the windows of the vehicle. The following is a list of the most common items stolen from the vehicles: wallets, power tools, and clothing.

Police release images of the suspects that were taken from a surveillance camera installed at one of the victim’s homes.

The suspect is described as a black or Hispanic male with short hair. In the surveillance images, he is wearing a dark short-sleeve shirt over a long-sleeve shirt.
