- The victim of the tragic QuickTrip carjacking murder in Gwinnett County has been identified as beloved former high school football coach Brad Coleman. According to Coleman's friends, he was in Peachtree Corners visiting his parents with his young daughter. He was at the gas station putting air into his tires when three individuals attempted to steal his vehicle. (WSBTV)
- Gwinnett County Public Schools held a new teacher orientation on Tuesday. According to the district, over 1,500 new teachers attended the orientation. Each speaker at the orientation welcomed the new teachers and sought to inspire them. The teachers are meeting today to participate in grade-level specific literacy activities. (Gwinnett Daily Post)
- Gwinnett County Commissioners are being pressured to lower the county's millage rate. On Monday, the commission heard public comments from individuals about the rate that determines how much residents pay in property taxes. The tentative proposal is to leave the millage rate at 14.71 mills - the same as last year. (Gwinnett Daily Post)
- The next Grayson City Council Meeting will be held on Jul. 18 at Grayson City Park. The meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. The address for the meeting is 475 Grayson Parkway. (City of Grayson)
- Loganville's Joseph Stone has committed to LSU's 2024 class. The blue-chip commit accounted his decision on Monday through an Instagram post. Stone referred to LSU as "Wide Receiver U" during his announcement post. The 5-11, 180-pound wide receiver was rated a 4-star commit and ranked No. 107 overall. (Saturday Down South)
