Robber Faked Illness Then Held Up Cell Stores: Gwinnett Police
Gwinnett County Police say a cellphone store robber pretended to be sick in Snellville and Norcross stores, then stole cash at gunpoint.

SNELLVILLE, GA — Gwinnett County Police say a cellphone store robber pretended to be sick in Snellville and Norcross stores, then stole cash at gunpoint. Authorities released surveillance camera images of the suspected armed man on Wednesday, and asked the public to help identify the thief.
In both cases, the robber came into the businesses with a napkin or cloth over his nose and mouth. He told store employees that he was sick, then took a handgun from his waistband and demanded cash.
The first theft occurred Feb. 22 at a Metro PCS store at 4002 Stone Mountain Highway in Snellville. Police say the second robbery happened Feb. 28 at a Metro PCS store at 5345 Jimmy Carter Boulevard in Norcross.

The robber is described as 5-11 to 6-02, 140-180 pounds, 18 to 27 years old, with a deep voice and yellowing eyes.
Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to contact Gwinnett County Police detectives at 770-513-5300. Crime Stoppers tipsters can receive up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
