Search of Lanier-Area House Reportedly Connected to Man's Disappearance

Samuel Waters of Lawrenceville has been missing since Jan. 4

Police reportedly executed a search warrant at a Buford house, apparently connected to the disappearance of Samuel Waters, who has been missing since January.

According to media reports, Lawrenceville PD was searching a residence on Shadburn Ferry Road near Lake Lanier. A police spokesman told the Gwinnett Daily Post the search was associated with Waters but gave no details of what they were looking for.

Another police spokesman told WXIA-TV Thursday afternoon that “items of interest” were removed, including the burned contents of a barrel, though no other details were known. The TV station said police confirmed the house is located in the same Lake Lanier area where Kelly Nash’s body was found in the lake in Febuary, but said they believe that’s a coincidence and not a connection. Nash, of Buford, and Waters both were reported missing within a day of each other.
