Sheriff's Calls: Head-On Collision, Burglary at Middle School, Firearms Discharged

Activity date: January 9, 2015 – January 12, 2015

Zone 1
Safety Check – Walton County Deputies conducted a safety check at Hwy 81 and Habersham Circle. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Damage to Property – Two mailboxes were reportedly damaged on Jersey Social Circle Rd. at two different residences.

Disorderly Conduct – James Kelley was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct following a report of firearms being discharged in the area of Jewel Ridge.

Safety Check – Walton County Deputies conducted a safety check on Hightower Trl and Whitehead Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance

Zone 2
Nothing reported.

Zone 3
Extra Patrol – Extra Patrol was requested at a residence on Jacks Creek Rd. in reference to subjects trespassing.

Accident – A head-on collision occurred on Hwy 83. Three people were transported for treatment due to injuries received in the accident.

Alarm - Walton County Deputies responded to an alarm at Carver Middle School. Key holder was notified, school checked and alarm was reset.

Arrest – Nancy Parr was arrested for Disorderly Conduct for being intoxicated at the Walton County Sheriff’s Office during Inmate Visitation.

Arrest – Michael Drake was arrested in the area of Wayne Meadows Rd. after being involved in an altercation with another party.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle – Subject reported a suspicious vehicle at Criswell Park. Vehicle was checked and returned stolen out of Conyers. Conyers Police Department was notified.

Theft Report - Subject reported several items taken from his outbuilding at a residence on Pannell Rd.

Zone 4
Burglary Report – An attempted burglary was reported at a residence on Clarence Odum Rd. A black male subject reportedly wearing a red hoodie attempted to open the front door. Subject reportedly left in a blue, Jeep Liberty that was possibly stolen in Monroe.

Arrest – Christopher Waldrip was arrested for an outstanding warrant at a residence on Tommy Dillard Rd.

Zone 5
Damage to Property – A storage building unit door was reportedly damaged on Hwy 78 at Between Mini Storage. Extra patrol was requested due to the unit door being damaged.

Safety Check – Walton County Deputies conducted a safety check on Bay Creek Church Rd and Old Zion Cemetery Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. Subject was cited for driving without license as a result of the safety check.

Firearms – Firearms reportedly being discharged in the area of Maple Cove Ln and Maple Cove Ct. Walton County Deputies checked area. No contact with anyone discharging firearms.

Alarm - Walton County Deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Richmond Place in Richmond Place Subdivision.

Structure Fire – Structure fire reported at a residence on Tiffany Ln. Scene handled by Walton County Fire Department.

Burglary Report – A burglary was reported at the New Loganville Middle School on Bay Creek Church Rd. Suspects were arrested and property was recovered. Those arrested were Alonzo Clinton charged with Burglary, Steven Freeman charged with Burglary and Robert Potter charged with Theft by Receiving.

Zone 6
Alarm – Walton County Deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Shepherds Ln in Shepherds Crossing.

Safety Check – Walton County Deputies conducted a safety check on Hodges Rd. and Deerfield Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Burglary Report – A burglary was reported on Spring Valley Dr. Tools from aircraft hangar were reportedly taken.

Suspicious Person – A homeless, female subject was reportedly walking in the area. Contact was made with the female. She was taken to the Walton Inn to get a room.

Arrest – Stephanie Jorgensen was arrested for an outstanding warrant in the area of Miller Bottom Rd. at Jerry’s Corner Store.

Alarm - Walton County Deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Golden Way in Golden Meadows.

Alarm – Walton County Deputies responded to an alarm at a business on Garmon Park Ct. at Garmon Industrial Park / Forever Grow Turf.

Arrest – Samuel Gragg and David Hampton were arrested in the area of South Smith Rd. following a traffic stop.

Extra Patrol – Extra Patrol was requested in the area of Rabbit Farm Rd. due to speeding vehicles.

Zone 7
Alarm – Walton County Deputies responded to an alarm at a business on Industrial Park Way.

Accident – A single vehicle accident occurred on Youth Monroe Rd. Paul Morris was issued citations in reference to DUI as a result of the accident. Mr. Morris was transported to hospital by EMS.

Agency Assist – Walton County Deputies assisted Loganville Police Department with the arrest of Kenneth Perry following an Armed Robbery at a residence on Brittany Cove.
