CRIME AWARENESS/COMMUNITY INFORMATION ALERT

Activity date: December 29, 2014 – January 4, 2015

Zone 1
Arrest – Randy Cain Jr. was arrested on Wapakoneta Trail in reference to an outstanding warrant.

Safety Checkpoint – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Hwy 138 and Forrester Cemetery Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Juvenile Problem – A juvenile problem was reported in the area of Lake Walton Estates in reference to juveniles driving reckless and playing pranks.

Arrest - Douglas Hatfield was arrested in the area of Hwy 138 and Pirklefield Dr. in reference to DUI.

Zone 2
Safety Checkpoint – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Jersey Social Circle Rd. at HD Atha Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Suspicious Person – A subject was reportedly acting suspicious in the area of Simmons Rd. Walton County Deputies gave the subject a ride to a location on Alcovy Trestle Rd.

Zone 3
Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Snows Mill Rd. in reference to four wheelers riding in the area.

Stolen Vehicle – A 1998 Ford Ranger was reportedly stolen from an area on Jacks Creek Rd. Extra patrol was requested.

Recovered Vehicle – A 1999 Ford Explorer was recovered by Walton County Deputies at a location on Mt. Vernon Rd. The vehicle had been reported stolen by the Monroe Police Department.

Arrest – Michael Miller was arrested on Deer Creek Ln in reference to an outstanding warrant.

Theft – Several items were reportedly taken from a residence on Deer Creek Ln.

Suspicious Vehicle – A Nissan pickup truck was found at a location on Harmony Church Rd. The owner could not be located.

Zone 4
Theft Report – Items were reportedly taken from a residence on Mountain Creek Church Rd.

Burglary Report – The back door to a residence on Bradley Gin Rd. was kicked in. Several items were reportedly taken from the residence.

Zone 5
Safety Checkpoint – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Hwy 81 at Forest Falls. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. Taylor Saunders was arrested in reference to possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested at a business in this zone in reference to copper possibly being stolen from the location.

Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested at a business on Hwy 78 in reference to copper reportedly being stolen from the location.

Arrest – Neslon Nguyen was arrested on Hwy 11 at Nichsolsville Rd in reference to DUI.

Alarm – Walton County Deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Hidden Meadows Lane in Hidden Meadows Subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.

Shoplifting – Shoplifting report was made at the Dollar General on Walker Park Dr.

Prowler Report – A prowler report was made at a residence on Evan Brook Dr. in the Ivey Brook Subdivision.

Alarm – Walton County Deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Mohansic Ave. All windows and doors appeared secure.

Vehicle Accident – Walton County Deputies assisted Barrow County with a vehicle accident fatality on Hwy 11. Two subjects were reported deceased.

Arrest – Pricilla Foster was arrested for Disorderly Conduct following a dispute at a residence Bold Springs Rd.

Zone 6
Safety Checkpoint – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check Miller Bottom Rd. at Flagstone Way. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No arrests were made during the safety check.

Agency Assist – Walton County deputies assisted the Gwinnett County Police Department with the arrest of Gerardo Figueroa in reference to a DUI.

Theft Report – Items were reportedly taken from a residence on Bullock Bridge Rd.

Firearms Complaint – Several firearm shots were heard in the area of Rabbit Farm Rd.

Arrest – James Wheaton was arrested on Rock Springs Ct. in reference to an outstanding warrant.

Recovered Vehicle - Walton County Deputies recovered a stolen vehicle on Hwy 20. Vehicle was reported stolen out of Dekalb County.

Fraud – A fraud report was made at a residence on Southern Hills Dr. in reference to a male asking for money.

Arrest - Jodi Martin and Juliette Halstead were arrested on Rock Hollow Rd. in reference to Disorderly Conduct following a dispute.

Zone 7
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Taylor Drive in the McKinsey Ridge subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.

Arrest – Charles Sims was arrested for an outstanding warrant following a verbal dispute at a residence on Stewart Lake Court.

Safety Checkpoint – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Broadnax Mill Rd at Youth Monroe Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Suspicious Person – Two white males were seen running from an area on Meadowood Cove. They were seen driving a black pickup truck. Extra patrol was requested.

Alarm – Walton County Deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Summit Lane in Woodlake Subdivision

Fraud – A fraud report was made on Guthrie Cemetery Rd. in reference to a subject making fraudulent phone calls. The subject claimed to be with the Walton County Sheriff’s Office accusing the complainant of not showing up for jury duty.

Fraud - A fraud report was made on HD Atha Rd. in reference to a male subject making fraudulent calls. The subject claimed to be with the Walton County Sheriff’s Office requesting money for the complainant not showing up for jury duty.

Vehicle Chase – Two subjects were arrested following a vehicle chase which led to the subjects crashing their vehicle on Sardis Church Rd. near Hwy 11.

Arrest – Kristopher Haro was arrested on Kent Rock Rd. in reference to an outstanding warrant out of Putnam County.

Monroe Police Department
Arrest – Michael Battle was arrested on N Broad St at Tanglewood Dr. in reference to a DUI.
