CRIME AWARENESS/COMMUNITY INFORMATION ALERT
Activity date: April 21, 2015
Zone 1
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Malcom Ln. Residence checked. Everything okay.
Arrest – Keith Avery was arrested for an outstanding warrant in the area of Monroe Jersey Rd. and Criswell Rd. following a traffic stop.
Zone 2
Nothing reported.
Zone 3
Nothing reported.
Zone 4
Trespassing – Subject reportedly found drug paraphernalia in her mother’s vacant residence on Old Athens Hwy. Extra patrol requested in the area.
Zone 5
Suspicious Person – A suspicious person was reportedly in the area of Forest Dr. in the pool area. Subject reportedly wearing a Burger King crown. Area checked. No contact.
Suspicious Person – A subject reportedly came to a residence on Hwy 81 and stated he wanted to give something to the resident owner. Contact was made with subject at Bay Creek Shell. Subject was warned to not return to the residence.
Zone 6
Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested in reference to a white male ringing the doorbell to a residence on Green Ridge Dr. between 11:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
Arrest – Joshua Mathis was arrested for Shoplifting for stealing a pair of boots from Boss Brothers. He was also arrested for Driving with a Suspended License.
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Logans Bluff. Residence checked. Everything okay.
Arrest - Kerri Thurmond was arrested in the area of Hwy 78 at Faith Academy for Theft by Taking, Financial Identity Fraud and traffic charges. Dustin McPherson was arrested for Financial Identity Fraud following a traffic stop where a large number of gift cards and debit cards were discovered in the vehicle.
Zone 7
Suspicious Vehicle – A green, Toyota Camry with a spare driver side front tire reportedly backed down the driveway to a residence on River Falls View. A white male reportedly exited the vehicle but sped off once the homeowner came to the door. Extra patrol requested in the area.
Burglary – A riding mower and leaf blower were reportedly stolen from a storage building of a vacant residence on Malachi Way. Copper piping was also cut and stolen from the air conditioner units. Extra patrol requested due to there being vacant houses for sale in the neighborhood.
Identity Theft – Subject at a residence on Henderson Ridge Ln reportedly had a credit card opened in her name.
Hit & Run – A landscape truck reportedly struck a vehicle in the area of Atha Circle and left the scene. No contact was made with the truck.
Juvenile Problem – Juveniles were reportedly moving cones into the middle of the road in the area of Guthrie Cemetery Rd. Area checked. No contact was made.
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at Atha Road Elementary school. School checked. Everything okay.
