Sheriff's Office: 24 Arrests Made During Safety Checks

Safety Checks
Walton County deputies conducted several safety checks over the weekend within the county. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. A total of 24 arrests were made during the safety checks.

Zone 1
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Sterling Water Drive in the Lakeshore Estates. All windows and doors appeared secure.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Hwy 81 at Habersham Circle. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Burglary Report – A fence was broken and several items were taken from a residence on Hwy 138 at Kellum Farms.

Zone 3
Recovered Vehicle – A vehicle was recovered by a Walton County deputy on McGarity Rd. The occupants left the vehicle on foot and ran into the woods.

Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Crystal Brook Way in the Crystal Brook subdivision in reference to a motorcycle speeding in the area.

Agency Assist – Monroe Police Department requested assistance from Walton County deputies with dispersing a large crowd in the area of West Creek Circle and Harris St.

Arrest – Byron Pezzarossi was arrested on Windfield Drive after driving recklessly through a subdivision then fighting with residents in the area.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at Harmony Elementary school on Harmony Church Rd. All windows and doors appeared secure.

Zone 4
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Deerwood Lane. All windows and doors appeared secure.

Arrest – Jarvis Norman was arrested on Hwy 11 at Double Springs Church Rd. in reference to driving with a suspended license.

Zone 5
Damage to Property – A vehicle left the roadway on Forest Ridge Rd. and damaged a mailbox. Extra patrol was requested.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Centerhill Church Rd. at Green Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Rosebud Rd. at Escoe Drive. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Zone 6
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to two alarm calls at a business on Tuck Rd. All windows and doors appeared secure.

Arrest – Eric Garmon was arrested on Lee Byrd Rd. in reference to an outstanding warrant out of Gwinnett County.

Zone 7

Arrest – Suzan Smith was arrested on Leone Avenue in reference to an outstanding warrant out of Monroe.

Burglary – A mobile home on New Horizon Drive in the Wagon Trail Mobile Home Park was reportedly entered. A firearm was reported missing from the residence.
