Soesbe Officially Announces Qualification for Loganville City Council

Loganville resident Amanda Soesbe qualified Monday (Aug. 26) to run for a seat on the Loganville City Council. 

She announced her campaign in an official statement Tuesday (Aug. 27). 

“I’m motivated each day to make our area a better place to live and work,” said Soesbe. “I want to continue that service to my community as a member of the Loganville City Council. I would consider it a privilege to represent our community and to participate in the decisions which will move Loganville forward.” 

Soesbe is a lifelong resident of both Gwinnett and Walton counties. While this is her first time running for public office, she's served as secretary of the Park Place Association and was a member of the 2009 Gwinnett Neighborhood Leadership Institute. She currently serves as president of the Gwinnett Rotary Sunrise and is the executive assistant to the Evermore Community Improvement District.

As of late afternoon Tuesday (Aug. 27), four other candidates have qualified for the three at-large seats on the ballot for the Loganville City Council. They are Eileen Waring, Linda Dodd, and incumbents Rey Martinez and Mark Kiddoo. The mayor's seat is also on the ballot, and only current Mayor Dan Curry has qualified so far.

The qualifying period for Loganville ends Wednesday (Aug. 28) at 4:30 p.m.
