Teamwork Leads To Theft, Drug Arrests In Loganville
While investigating car break-ins in the Copper Ridge subdivision Tuesday night, deputies came across two suspicious vehicles.

LOGANVILLE, GA — Walton County deputies started out trying to solve some car break-ins. In the process of investigating, they — along with Loganville Police — ended up making two arrests for unrelated, but serious, charges.
Tuesday night, deputies were conducting area checks and located several vehicles that had been illegally entered in the Copper Ridge subdivision. Other deputies immediately responded to the area and started searching for suspects or other entered vehicles.
They spotted what they called two suspicious vehicles. One was stopped, while the other — a dark-colored Cadillac — fled the area.

The driver of the stopped vehicle was arrested on two outstanding warrants out of Gwinnett and DeKalb counties for theft by shoplifting and was additionally charged with giving false information to officers, possession of marijuana, possession of drug-related objects (scales and needles) and possession of methamphetamine.
Deputies saw the Cadillac fleeing but were unable to catch it. Wednesday morning, day-shift deputies were advised about the incident. They were then alerted that Loganville Police received a call about a similar vehicle that was parked at Wal-Mart in Loganville.

Police arrested a suspect in the Cadillac for possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, possession of drug-related objects and having drugs not kept in their original container.
"These suspects are likely not connected to (Tuesday) night's entering autos, however, their arrests were excellent examples of teamwork between shifts within the Sheriff's Office as well as with Loganville P.D.," the sheriff's office wrote in a Facebook post. "Excellent job to all!"
