  I have been a Trapper for many years. I came up trapping rabbits on my grandad's property in rabbit boxes that we built. He would show me how to set and bait them. It was there that the seed was sown but it was many years later that I begin doing so full bore. I had some bow hunting property and the coyotes were decimating our deer herd. I considered shooting them but discovered that here in the East, this was very difficult due to the heavy cover. It was then that I began doing research and reading thesis and Government Coyote Control studies and discovered that in every instance, the most effective and proven method for consistently managing the population was Trapping. I began studying the methodology and techniques of the Old Wolfers from as far back as I could find writings. I read about Lewis and Clark, Jim Bridger and the Fur Trade. I had no desire to be a Fur Trapper. I wanted to be an ADC or Animal Damage Control Trapper. The fur here in the south does not prime near as well as it does in the North and I'd much rather be laying steel on a new piece of property than skinning in a fur shed behind my home. I contacted the State of Georgia DNR and got the study material to become a Certified Wildlife Control Operator. I passed the exam on the first attempt, ordered some traps and began setting iron on this property. I read every book, article, research and government study I could on Canis latrans. I was invited to Morristown, Tennessee where I was trained in Coyote and Beaver Trapping by one of the best ADC men in that State. I studied the books and tactics of Craig O'Gorman, Major Boddicker and many other Coyote trappers as well as the Old Western Wolfers such as A.R.Harding. I began applying their techniques and soon began catching coyotes. I took 13 off of one 60 acre. tract near an Urban Mall. I then decided to build my business so that when I retired from my regular job, I would have a large enough Client base that I could do Wildlife Control full time. Since that time, I have studied the Coyote, his behavior and habits. Not just in books but on my line. He is the most difficult animal to trap and the learning curve is steep. But life had taught me that anything new you try has a learning curve and by being persistent and patient  I began to understand this most intelligent of Predators. As my confidence level grew, I began contacting landowners about trapping for them. I talked with a landowner who had a 600-700 acre. cattle farm. He had allowed no trappers on it in 40 years. But I finally was able to get permission and what I have learned has been far more beneficial than what I could learn in any book. I also began to see and understand that there were organizations against hunting and trapping and I began studying them as well. After many years and articles, news reports and actual contact with these disturbed individuals, I began to understand how evil and deceptive they actually are. They do not care about the animals per se. What they care about is MONEY and using emotional filled commercials and acts to influence the simpletons and sheeple that are incapable of thinking rationally and logically for themselves. The spew forth lies and deceit about our industry to cause people to send them money under the guise of "saving the animals". It is not about the animals. It is about raising money to promote their political agenda and lavish lifestyles. Several of the organizations within this group, HSUS, PETA, ALF, ELF, SEA SHEPHERD and others, have been classified by the FBI as domestic terrorist organizations. Do the research and learn for yourself how these organizations use intimidation to get people to support them, how they use money and intimidation to get politicians to support and promote their agenda's. They say that Trapping doesn't work, but they are Dead Wrong. They even have their own "Wildlife Biologists" on their payrolls and many across the country sympathize with these Hypocrites. Regardless of what these extremist organizations say and promote, the fact is that the Research shows that Trapping Does Work to manage the wildlife population, remove the diseased animals and maintain the delicate balance of the ecosystem. I will begin posting news reports, research thesis and other documented evidence to validate my point and debunk the lies promoted by these organizations. What you will find on my page is the  "TRUTH ABOUT WILDLIFE TRAPPING AND MANAGEMENT" and I will expose the lies that these other organizations for what they are. It is a work in progress, so stay tuned. The first reading is a 25 year Coyote Control Study from California that, to my knowledge and what I can find, is the longest study on record that proves beyond any doubt that Trapping and Shooting Coyotes DOES WORK to manage the population, reduce disease and re instill in the pack, the innate "fear of Man" I strongly encourage you to read it! I will be posting new articles concerning the criminal activities of these organizations, how they tell the Municipalities and Local Governments to handle a Coyote problem when they do not even understand the animal. It is a mystery to me that these government entities will take such an organization's suggestions at face value without even checking them out or doing the research. If it is because they want to be seen as "Politically Correct", then that is Pure Stupidity and Cowardly Lunacy by people that cannot handle the TRUTH......plain and simple. Oh, and unlike these organizations that get on Facebook and threaten people like myself, I am not a Coward that hides his or her face behind a Mask.
